The first instalment of this workshop took place with four group members beginning the ground work for their wall hangings. The first task was sorting the colour runs into order and making a plan to refer to. Then the serious business of cutting out strips began. The ladies were surprised how long this takes, then began stitching the strips together into colour-run sets ready for the next stage. The different colour and fabric designs used are quite diverse, with Chris choosing bright solid marbled colours, Christine choosing a range of lilacs to purples, Pat chose autumn colours and Joyce chose small print fabrics in warm colours ranging from creams to dark browns with greens added. Further pictures will be added as the project progresses.
