Jan has made this quilt for a friend using trapunto appliqué flowers with padded centres as the centre block. She finished off the quilt by stitching a grid across the plain blocks to mirror the multi-patch squares set into the larger blocks. It's a shame the trapunto doesn't show so well in the photographs.
